The first edition of the Aluminium-Man in Wildon was a full success. With a wonderful weather for swimming 150 triathletes went to the track.

Through her inspiring participation the blind athlete Martha Verboschek gave all spectators a lot of joy. With her attendant Gabi Donner she swam, managed the biking track on a tandem bike and run under great applause over the finishing line.
On the man's side the elite trio Martin Jandl, Markus Ressler and Thomas Jandl managed for suspense. If it was Markus Ressler coming for first out of the water after the swimming part, it was Martin Jandl who would pass in front on the bike track and hold the lead to the end.
