About 16 years ago I put on my running shoes for the first time - at the beginning one time per week, then twice, then... First one loop in the park, then two, then three...

I started very small and slowly improved up to the first 10 km race, which was sensational for me. Inspired by the 10 km race I improved to halfmarathon, marathon, 100km, 12-, 24- and 48-Hour race. wherein I made every time a nice experience, that it was not as difficult as I thought and I learned, that we set ourselves the limits with our mind and that we can transcend this limits. This way I found myself 1996 for the first time at the starting line of the 700-Mile-Race. Since than I am running every year the Ultra Trio (700-, 1000- or 1300-Mile-Race) in New York, and I could win every time.

It gives me joy to have the possibility to share with you on this occasion my inspiration and experiences. In the following weeks and months I will tell more about the single races and perhaps also about topics connected to them. Sometimes I will just let pictures talk!

At the end a view facts:

2002 I run the world record for 700 miles (1120 km) in 8 days, 15 hours, 34 minutes and 13 seconds and lowered the 11 years old world record of Sandra Berwick from New Zealand by 21 minutes. The 1000 km I run in 7 days + 16:08:37, whereby I lowered the world record by 18 minutes. This way I run daily an average of 137 km.

2001 I run the world record for 1300 miles (2080 km) in 17 days, 21 hours and lowered the world record by 2 1/2 hours.
